Maternity Session Information

1) When is the best time to schedule a maternity session?
If you are pregnant and know that you would like a maternity session, then now is the time to schedule. While I will make every effort to attempt to fit in last minute requests, my schedule can sometimes make it difficult to accommodate those requests.

2) When is the best time for the maternity session to take place?
The ideal time to shoot these sessions is between 32-36 weeks, but they can be done right up until your due date. During this time is when your baby belly will be big enough to show well in the photos without you being too uncomfortable.

3) Where will the session take place?
Maternity sessions can take place at either my home studio or at an outside location of your choice. This is all about you, so I will let you decide where. These sessions typically take approximately 1 1/2 hours.

4) What should I wear for my maternity session?
You will want to choose clothing that will accent your growing belly. Jeans and form fitting dresses and tops work really well. I suggest that you not choose items with stripes or large patterns, but solids and small prints work great. If you have chosen a studio session then I offer a variety of wraps, maternity gowns and materials. Make this time extra special; get your hair and nails done. Once your newborn arrives you won’t have too much time for yourself. So take the opportunity to pamper yourself a little. If you are having a hard time choosing your attire, I have taken some time to set up a what to wear board on Pinterest for you. Click here to see “What to Wear”

5) Can my significant other/children be included in the session as well?
Absolutely! I encourage them to be a part of this time in your life. If you do include others than I suggest that they bring/wear jeans, and a coordinating (to your outfit)  long or short sleeve shirt.

6) What if I have more questions?
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to call me or use the contact button. I will be happy to help you in any way I can.

**For your family’s safety I maintain a yearly flu shot and have received the Pertussis booster.
